My 2010 Personal Influencer List

This is the time of year when you see the dozens of lists throughout all realms of society of the top (Fill in the Blank) of the year. So I decided I would take my shot at it. Over the next few posts I will share a few of my Top Influencers: Personally, From a Distance, and my Top Books of 2010. Today I tackle the list of my personal influencers.

Jesus
I know I'm supposed to say this one, but I can honestly say that this last year I've needed to draw closer to Him then ever before. I've learned more this year about Him, drawn closer into a personal relationship and desired to let Him live through me more than ever. I would not be who I am today without the great God that I serve.

Darianne Westcott
Another one I'm supposed to say, but she amazes me. I knew I was blessed with an amazing wife, but she has blown me away this year with how great she is as a Mom. I would never be able to do what I do without her love and support. I know the years ahead will be great because she will be by my side. Along with her comes my absolutely amazing little guy, Judah. I didn't know the depths of love until I had these two. I understand the love of the Father so much because of them.

Dan Larson & The FLCC Team
It still amazes me that he took such a risk hiring a punk 22 year old kid still in Bible College to come and lead a group of people in one of the most important time in their lives called teenagers. To look back and see how much I've been entrusted and the personal example he has laid as a father, husband and leader is amazing. I'm blessed to be part of an amazing team!

Zac Gandara
Pastor Zac is the Youth Pastor of Christian Faith Center in Federal Way. Although we have only spoken a few times this year, his impact in my ministry is great. He is one of the guys that when I hang out with him I am drawn closer to Jesus. He has encouraged me in ministry and accepted my part in the Kingdom when many in his position could easily act like the "rockstars." My ministry and the people who come across my path are better because of Zac's influence.

Dan Serdahl and the CalibrateNW Team
I had the great opportunity to be part of the Marketing Team for CalibrateNW this year. There were some great people part of this, including Del Chittim, Scott Harris and many others. But my personal influence is Dan. I met him during college as my mentor during my church planting class. We have met a few times through the year and he has truly helped me refine what God has given me and helped me believe that God can use someone like me to do what I've been called to do. If everyone had a Serdahl in their life, the world would be a much more encouraged place.
